Katie Taylor will be boxing during three bouts on  three successive nights at the Royal Hotel in Bray on February 24, 25, 26 when she takes on Sandra Brugger of Switzerland, Cindy Orain of France and Ingrid Egner of Norway as part of her preparation for China. These are three of the leading European boxers, who will also be in the Olympic qualifying so this will be valuable preparation for when she meets such as Queen Underwood, Cheng Dong, Sofya Ochigava, Natasha Jonas and Gulsum Tatar in China.

Katie Taylor and mum Bridget Taylor are involved with a new initiative that will support the family and friends of Irish Paralympic Team athletes and Team Ireland.

Katie and Bridget joined Sonia O'sullivan and Paralympian Michael Mckillop at Dublin's Merrion Hotel last week to mark the partnership of Procter&Gamble Ireland with the Olympic Council of Ireland and Paralympics Ireland.
Part of the programme consists of free tickets for the family of  Irish Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
