Katie Taylor Defending Her European Champion Title in Bulgaria

Katie Taylor will be targeting her second European Union gold medal on the trot in Bulgaria later this month. The World and European light weight champion, who was crowned AIBA 2008 female boxer of the year in Moscow. last December, will compete in Pazardjik between June 23rd and 28th.
Katie Taylor won gold at last years European Union Championships in Liverpool and her Bray BC team-mate Debbie Rogers claimed bronze in an impressive double for the club.
Looking ahead to the Bulgarian Championships, Katie Taylor's coach and dad Peter, said that KatieTaylor was in top shape and in great condition for the European Union Championships and looking forward to defend her title and bring back gold to Ireland.
Katie will also compete in an international box-off in Russia in July.
