Female Amateur Boxers in Ireland
Thanks to the support and promotion through such organisations as the
International Women's Boxing Federation (formed 1992, headed by Frankie "G" Globuschutz) and the
Women's International Boxing Association (formed 2000, headed by Ryan Wissow) to name but two, women's boxing has established its voice on an international stage. The sport has increased in popularity thanks to the support of boxers like Laila Ali ,daughter of legend Muhammad Ali, Jacqui Frazier-Lyde ,daughter of famed boxing great Joe Frazier and Katie Taylor, daughter of Irish Champion Pete Taylor
